Jane falls in love with the owner of Thornfield, Mr. Rochester • Jane goes back to Gateshead to see her dying Aunt • Mr. Rochester tells Jane he loves her and proposes • Jane’s veil gets ruined in the middle of the night • Jane and Mr. Rochester are at the alter ready to get married and a man stops the wedding • Mr. Rochester is married to a mentally ill and insane woman named Bertha • Jane leaves Thornfield and becomes homeless • John Rivers takes Jane in • Jane returns to Thornfield but it had been burnt down • Jane goes to Ferndean and Mr. Rochester proposes and they have a baby
