Rule-of-Thirds -When the main object in a photo is placed to the right or left side of a picture. -This worked best for the rule-of-thirds because the cup is placed slightly to the right.
Balance -When a photograph is equal on both sides, it is called balance. -I chose this photo for balance because the objects on both sides equal each other out.
Lines -Lines, is what it sounds like. This is when a photo has straight lines that make a part of the picture. -I used this picture because it has multiple horizontal lines.
Simplicity - When a photo doesn’t have any camera tricks, but only focuses on what is important in the shot. - I picked this photo for simplicity because it focuses on one particular object.
Framing -Framing is what you call it when the main object in a picture is surrounded by another object. -I chose this shot for framing because the cup circles around the water it contains.
Lighting -Lighting is simply using the light you have to enhance the picture you want to take. -I used this photo because it uses lighting to create a cool texture on the surface of the water and generate a glare on the side of the cup.
Color -When a photo uses color to make a picture look better, it is called color. -I chose this photo for color because among a gallery of colorless pictures of water, this was one of the only pictures that actually included it.
Black & White -Black and white is when you literally give a picture no color. -I chose this picture for black and white because I don’t think that it needs color in order to look interesting.
Editing techniques -Editing techniques is when you edit a photograph and make it look completely different from the original -I chose this photo to edit because it was one of the more boring pictures and it needed a little more pizzazz.
Extreme Close-Up -An extreme close-up is when you take a picture that is very close to the subject item. -I selected this for the extreme close-up because a sink is a sink, but when you get up close to the faucet, it’s like an entirely different work of art.
