This passage in Ezekiel describes the East Gate of the sanctuary and the Lord's command for it to be shut because He has entered through it. The prince is permitted to sit in this gate, eat bread before the Lord, and enter and exit through the vestibule. This raises questions about the identity of the prince and his role in the temple.
