Background • Vogue is an American fashion and lifestyle magazine. It focuses a lot on fashion as that is its main selling point. It has been around since 1892 and was first founded by Arthur Turnure. • It is published monthly • Vogue has developed from a small weekly New York magazine into a top world wide magazine. • It has featured some of the worlds greatest female icons, from iconic movie stars to world famous singers. Not forgetting top models such as Kate moss and Cara Delevingne
In the early days of vogue the front cover design was very simplistic however as it slowly started to develop the cover started to become fuller. • There are two main focus points on the front of the magazine: the magazine title ‘Vogue’ and the main image of whoever the cover girl of that issue is. • Vogue’ title is David font , it is presented in caps and with a bold edge • The colour scheme for every issue is carefully planned out and matched together. • For example the text colour of the main title will also go with what colours the model on the front is wearing, this also counts for the front page cover lines. Black is a key colour used on Vogue front covers.
Iam going to be producing magazine articles within vogue magazine on jobs within the media industry, I will lay it out in the original style of Vogue and base all designs around the original magazine. Colour Scheme I like the simplistic idea of black and white with a splash of bold colour on certain words. I will be carrying on using the original Vogue font of Davidas I think it looks neat and is easy to read
Jobs within the mediathat Iwill be focusing my articles on • Magazine journalist • Magazine/newspaper editor • Radio presenter • Radio producer • Proof-reader • Television presenter • Stage/set designer
