Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men…. • The Call to Forgiveness (Salvation) • We are all sinners in need of forgiveness (Mark 1:4-5;2:17; Rom. 3) • We can be forgiven by God in the flesh, Jesus Christ (Mark 2:1-12) • We must believe on Jesus Christ (Mark 1:15; Romans 10:9-10, 13) • The Call to Follow (Discipleship) • We are called to follow a new leader-Jesus(Mark 1:17, 20; 2:14) • We are called to follow a new priority-Eternity (Mark 1:18, 20; 2:14) • The Call to Fish (Evangelism) • All Christ-followers are called immediately to fish (Mark 1:17-20; 2:14) • All Christ-followers should start fishing in localwaters (Mark 2:15) • All Christ-followers should fish in openwaters (Mark 2:16-17)

  3. An Early Fishing Expedition • Then He went out again by the sea; and all the multitude came to Him, and He taught them. As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him. Now it happened, as He was dining in Levi’s house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him. And when the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, “How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?” When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” • Mark 2:13-17
