Equipment: • greased baking tray • large white bowl • jug • fork • white mixing spoon • teaspoon Ingredients: • 100g self raising flour • 50g margarine • 50g sugar • ½ beaten egg (share one between two) • 1 tablespoon jam To show a high level of skill & confidence in the preparation of Raspberry Buns.
Method • Preheat oven 220°c/ Gas 7. • Grease a baking tray. • In a large bowl – rub together 100g flour, 50g sugar and 50g margarine • See me – to add 1 tablespoon of beaten egg – stir to form a stiff dough. • Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and shape each one into a round ball. • Make a small hole in the centre of each using the end of a teaspoon and add a small amount of jam. • Place onto baking tray and bake for 15mins until firm and golden brown.
