Animal and Plant Adaptations in The Desert • For animals, they can store water in their fatty deposits of their tails and other tissues • Water can be stored in the stems and leaves of plants • Some plants to not face directly up, and are at a slight slant which give the plant shading. The leaves are also shiny to reflect sunlight

  8. Be Kind to OUR Deserts • Arid environment- Be cautionary of water usage • Lack of water prevents deserts from supporting many plant and animal life. Expanding human populations on the edges of the desert strain the water supply, which affects the already sparse flora and fauna. • Help us by not hunting animals- due to the lack of desert animals, we want to make sure they’re around for a long time!
