Massage Techniques • Effluerage - long strokes • Kneading – squeeze, press, roll • Petrissage – muscles are lightly grabbed and lifted • Friction – thumbs work deep circles into the thickest part of the muscle • Tapotement– chopping motion • Vibration – Hold muscle firmly and shake
