Important Dates • SAT Oct. 9 • Tri Valley College Fair (6:30pm @ DHS) Oct. 7 • UC Night Oct. 19 • ACT Oct. 23 • Early Decision Cal Poly Deadline Oct. 31 • SAT Nov. 6 • CSU application deadline Nov. 30 • SAT (last test date for most CSUs) Dec. 4 • Financial Aid Night (@ FHS) Dec. 9 • ACT Dec. 11 • File FAFSA online Jan. 1–Mar. 2 • Return SIR by May 1

  5. Standard Sequence For College Admissions Testing Senior Year CSU schools request that all Admissions Test scores be sent!

  6. Sending SAT scores • Student should list CSUMentor as a score recipient (code 3594). • CSU Mentor will then store scores for all CSU campuses to utilize. • Student can list 3 additional college codes for free during registration

  7. ACT Scores Manager • Student must release the ACT score to at least one CSU campus • Student can list 4 college codes for free during registration only • Student is then eligible to release scores to other CSU campuses by using ACT Scores Manager (no additional cost) on the CSU Mentor website

  8. SAT/ACT tests must be taken by: • Long Beach prefer Oct. • Early Admit Cal Poly, SLO Oct. • San Diego State Nov. • Cal Poly, SLO Nov. (all other campuses require tests taken by Dec. test date) Please send your official test scores as soon as possible to avoid missing required deadlines.

  9. Meeting CSU Eligibility • 2.0 minimum academic GPA (grades 10 and 11 college prep classes only) • SAT (Critical Reading and Math only) or • ACT (writing score not used) • Eligibility Index (uses academic GPA and SAT/ACT scores to determine eligibility)

Eligibility Index • WWW.CSUMENTOR.ORG • All college prep classes taken after the 9th grade • Example for Don Amadon, who has: A=3 B=4 C=12 • Use “GPA Calculator” to determine that Don has a GPA of 2.53 • SAT Scores of Critical Reading =550 Math =530 for a composite score of 1080 • Eligible to apply ??? • Use Eligibility Index for CA Residence to find out
