Wisconsin’s“Elder Boom” Projections for the Growing 65+ Population, 2005 to 2035 WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES Division of Long Term Care P-00138 (10/2009)
Notes on Sources • The population numbers for these maps come from the Wisconsin Department of Administration’s Demographic Services Center, which publishes population projections each decade based on the decennial U.S. Census, adjusting them mid-decade when necessary. Numbers used here are from an update in 2008 (“Vintage 2008”). • The maps were created using ArcMap 9.2, and imported to PowerPoint as PDF files. • Thanks are due to UW Extension of Waushara County, which created a similar set of population projection maps and inspired this production.
