Common Classroom Procedures & Expectations: • Entering the Classroom • Come prepared (Materials/Notebooks/HW) • On time and quiet/Silence during announcements • Dispose of gum • Hats/hoods off • Materials out • Backpacks/purses under desk or chair • Complete warm-up activities Behavior Expectations

  5. During Class • Be polite, Follow Directions, Stay Seated • Copy down agendas & home assignments • Raise hand to speak/ask questions- no call-outs • Take good notes • Keep work areas clean • End of Period • Wait for teacher to dismiss class • Exit Questions or Reflections Behavior Expectations

Check Backpacks Daily (Textbooks, Notebooks, etc.) • Complete DOL/Warm-up/Journal writing • Planners stamped, showing homework and agenda • Suggested Supplies: • Library Books • Whiteboard markers/Highlighters/Colored pencils • Pencils/Pens (blue-black pens, colored for grading) • Paper/Index Cards • Calculator • 3 Ring Binder/Composition Book/Spiral Notebook Staying ORGANIZED & PREPARED

Power Teaching • All grade levels of math are participating • Cooperative Learning – group work based • Common Core State Standards (CCSS) • More rigorous than previous standards • This is a transition year, next year the CCSS will be fully implemented in all classes • Planners – ONLY gets stamped when an assignment is turned in FOCUS ON Math
