SURVEY • We conducted a survey to analyze the parking situation on the University of Florida campus • The following questions were asked: • Are you male or female? • What grade are you in? • Do you have a car or scooter on campus? • If you have a car or scooter on campus, how many parking tickets have you received? • Do you see a problem with parking on campus? • If your answer was yes to the previous question, briefly describe the problem. • Do you think a mobile parking application that could help you locate available parking spots would be useful? • Would you buy this application for $.99?
SURVEY • The survey was sent out to University of Florida students • We received 122 responses • Even distribution of Male and Female from the various grade levels • 66% of the students who took the survey have cars or scooters on the University of Florida campus
SURVEY • If you have a car or scooter on campus, how many parking tickets have you received? • 0 (24%), 1 (16%), 2 (14%), 3 (8%), 4+ (38%)
SURVEY • Do you see a problem with parking on campus? • 90% of the students who took the survey believe there is a problem with parking on campus. • If your answer was yes to the previous question, briefly describe the problem. • The most common responses were: • “There is not enough parking on campus” • “Ticketing is horrible.”
SURVEY • Do you think a mobile parking application that could help you locate available parking spots would be useful? • 85% of the sample believe an application like SmartPark will be useful and can help the parking situation.
