  2. Behaviour Expectations – our policy • Langford In Harmony • Stay on Green • Any concerns are communicated via face to face or over the phone • Star of the Week

  3. Routines PE is on Wednesday please ensure they have their full P.E. kits. We will visit the library on a Tuesday. Please make sure reading books and library books are brought in every day. Reading books will be changed on a Monday and Thursday.

  4. Home Learning Weekly spellings (given out on a Monday and tested on a Friday) Weekly times tables Reading every night Short and focused home-learning Deliberately practising and revisiting learning in class Reading – handed in on Tuesday Maths – handed in on Wednesday Marked as a class and feedback given to all children All children must complete home-learning to a high standard. Incomplete or absent home-learning will be finished at lunch time.

Curriculum this term Maths: • count in steps of 2, 3, and 5 from 0, and in tens from any number, forward and backward   • recognise the place value of each digit in a two-digit number (tens, ones)   • identify, represent and estimate numbers using different representations, including the number line  • compare and order numbers from 0 up to 100; use < > and = signs   • read and write numbers to at least 100 in numerals and in words   • use place value and number facts to solve problems.  •  Compare and sort common 2-D and 3-D shapes and everyday objects.  English: • Poetry – acrostic poem about the Great Fire • Reports – Newspaper article • Narrative – character description • Instructions- what to do in the event of a fire Topic: This term we will be learning about the GFOL and the plague and the effect it had on lives both during, after and now.

  6. SATS support at home • Complete all home learning tasks. • Reading every day to increase fluency and stamina. • Asking questions about what your child has read to check understanding and develop comprehension skills. • Maths arithmetic practice – KS1 arithmetic challenge, hit the button, times table practice.
