Benefits • Exposure to the elderly, children, palliative care and chronic disease management (including MH) • Social problems • PCT and impact upon the practice • NHS Practice Management • QOF • Experiences of the PHCT in the community • Excellent preparation for CSA/AKT • NHS Trainer offered tutorial on practice management pre AKT after returned to military
What might you change • Maintain military contact • ?military ES • If ES not possible then • visit from military trainer • Or some ‘keep in touch days’ with the military • Handover from trainer to trainer • Move back to longer consultations initially
Optimum length • Variable responses • Minimum of 6 months • Some prefer up to one year
