WHAT’S NEW • The Collins College of Hospitality Management • Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships • Residential Suites Phase II • Construction started Summer 2008 • Will offer 622 additional beds • Library gets a $33 million facelift - Opening Fall 2008 • Indoor/Outdoor full-service Starbucks • 24 hour study spaces • 2 story Grand Reading Room • 23 additional group study rooms

Competitive Admissions Policy • First time Freshmen Impaction • Reduction in local area high schools • Reduction of 40 high schools • All applicants must apply during the initial filing period of October 1st – November 30th • Take the ACT or SAT Reasoning Test preferably by the October 2008 test date, but no later than December 2008 • All applicants must submit official ACT or SAT Reasoning test scores by January 2009

  6. IMPACTED PROGRAMS College of Environmental Design: • Architecture • Supplemental criteria • Successful candidates have a minimum 3.6 GPA • Competitive GPA and SAT scores • Encourage students to identify an alternate major IMPACTED PROGRAMS

  7. IMPACTED PROGRAMS College of Engineering: • Civil Engineering • Supplemental Criteria • Competitive GPA and SAT scores • Minimum score of 550 SAT or 23 ACT required • Encourage students to identify an alternate major NEWLY IMPACTED PROGRAM

  8. NEWLY IMPACTED PROGRAMS College of Agriculture: • Animal Science • Animal Health Science • Supplemental criteria • Competitive GPA and SAT or ACT scores • Encourage students to identify an alternate major

HOUSING • 3,000 beds • 1,800 beds in our residence halls • 1,200 beds at the University Village • Residence Halls - single, double and triple occupancy • Residential Suites - suite-style accommodations • Apartments - double and single rooms • Applications are processed on a first come, first serve basis - anticipate a waiting list • Sign-up early - Complete the REQUEST FOR HOUSING INFORMATION online form • Release openings for housing in early April www.dsa.csupomona.edu/uhs
