Welcome – Polly Parnell • I’m so glad to see so many familiar as well as new ones. • Introduce BASIS team- • How many of you currently use webBASIS? • First – Jennifer will review all the HR (personal information). Donna – will review the travel, invoice, e-business, PO information as well as our TARGET. I – will review the asset and financial data. Also preview some new information related to sponsored cost centers. • We want this session to be interactive so please feel free to ask questions. We may defer some of the questions if it’s something we will cover later in our presentation. • Turning this over to Jennifer

  5. Question? • Who knows what information may be changed on an asset? There are three primary pieces of information – can anyone give me one of those?

  6. Search for Assets • There are several different search criteria. Today, I’m going to search for the capital assets for my BU: BASI. • Serial Number • Responsible employee • Disposed of assets • Departmental Asset information • Room (location) • Asset tag number

  7. Capital Assets for BASIS • Action to perform: • View Asset Information • Email Asset Info • Change Asset Location, BU, Responsible Employee • I’m changing to Change Asset Location……

  8. Change Request Asset BU – transfer to another BU Responsible Employee Location – Room Tag or Off-site location Comment Validate / Save Creates a TARGET transaction that must be approved by…..

  11. Search for BU • Action to Perform • Summary Maint or LTD Balances • Browse Summary Category Balances • Browse Rollup Center Summary Bal • View CCC Data Sheet

  12. Maint CCC Drill down information I always recommend viewing balances through the end of the fiscal year. Can anyone tell me why? Salary Encumbrances. N/A for this CCC

  13. Drill Down on Dollar amounts Don’t use the Category – this feature is for Report codes Drill down using the amount fields.

  15. Sponsored CCC - LTD Action to perform – changed option to Summary Maint or LTD Balances New feature that has not been to production, but will be next week.

  16. LTD – no option for begin or end dates Balance information looks more like LBSP – all budget and expenditure information Drill down will also give you all information regardless of FY. New feature – Download to excel spreadsheet.

  17. Another example Drill down information Sub-total before Indirect Cost Download option!!

  18. Report Code Information • These two options – for report code information. • More advanced topic that would be happy to discuss in a smaller group or individually.
