GIRA or GIRO • Doing just enough: • If I get just NCEA Level 1 or possibly NCEA Level 2 before I leave school, I’ll be satisfied and have no plans to finish Level 3 • Doing my best: • I want to take credits that allow me to try for Merit or Excellence, rather than just achieved We are and we become what we are, in relationship to the organisations which we are part of – Owen, 1991:21
