Waimea College GATE Research 2011… Saxton Field ‘Does Saxton Field meet the needs of it’s users?’
Who are we? We’re from the year 9 GATE group at Waimea College; Libby Malthus, Cambria Doyle, Sean Cavil and Sheldon Mazzola. Our job is to research a part of the community and see if there are any improvements that can be made to Saxton. Our main aim: To research Saxton Field and find out what the opinions and views are from the people who use it; what they think and what they want to change. And also if possible, to make those changes. What we did: We made a survey and sent it to kids from our school, ages 12-20. We got more than 250 results but we were limited to only being able to view 100. Also we interviewed another 120 random children aged 10-12. We have also interviewed Llyod Kennedy and Mr Leddingham to find their views, we appretiate their time very much.
