Born, grow..Swim! There is no age to start. Some say that we are born for this, others argue that it is only a matter of head. There is no age to remove the armrests, nor to start blowing bubbles, nor to start to move legs.
First of all.. The first competitive year of “Esordienti B”, starts at the age of 9. First swimming competition begins, and there are the first victories.
It takes patience, strenght and tenacity to arrive at high levels. Only 20% of competitive swimmers reach and conquer a national title. Many of us give up during our path to greatness.

As a young boy or a girl, the team becomes our family. We spend 4 hours a day, every day, with them. We share joy, sorrows and sweat. They guide you to victory, and they are the first people to hug.
A swimmer spends most of his time in the pool, to reach almost 30 hours and 56 miles a week. To support so much physical effort is needed a lot of energy. Athletes take about twice as many calories than a normal person. Woman: 3000Kcal Man: 3200Kcal
