Dear Swimmer/ Parent Welcome to the new season. Families new to competitive swimming often find the first season or two rather daunting, unsure as what galas to swim, what events to enter, and what all the different Championships and Age Group Galas actually mean. The first place to always start is with the coach, they will usually guide the swimmers as to what events they are expected to enter. This booklet serves as a basic guideline for the season ahead. Swimmers registered with EGA (R475+ form+ copy of ID) are eligible to partake in the pool events. Open water swims do not require provincial registration. Qualifying times have also being added as well as the requirements for EGA Colts Colours. To enter EGA Championships (in December) swimmers must have swum that event the in the preceding season!
