  2. CWEST - Taking care of your eyes. • Everybody will agree that eye care is very, very important. • Imagine losing your sight when it could have been prevented.

  3. CWEST - Taking care of your eyes. • On Earth there are -: • 285 million visually impaired people. • 246 million have low vision. • 39 million people are blind.

  4. CWEST - Taking care of your eyes. • In the UK there are -: • 360,000 registered blind or partially sighted people. • However, that figure rises to 1,950,000 who are not officially registered. That is 1 person in 30!

  5. CWEST - Taking care of your eyes. • Imagine not seeing your friends or family, your favourite actor, a television programme or your favourite sports team? It would be devastating.

  6. CWEST - Taking care of your eyes. Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) (normal vision on the left, AMD on the right).

CWEST - Taking care of your eyes. • Prizes!! • Your poster will be sent away to be judged by a panel of eye experts. • If you win, you’ll get £50 of book tokens and £30 of Love2Shop vouchers!! • Your finished poster needs to be completed by Wednesday, 15 October. Every student in the school is eligible to take part.
