  3. Findings • 46% watched sometime or every day • Ricki Lake 41% • Oprah 36% • Montel 31% • Statistical relationships • Most subjects overestimated the behaviors, but heavy viewers were more likely to do so • Trivialization of the issues did not take place

  4. Interpretation • Blanket condemnation of talk shows is not warranted
