  2. Why algae? • Much cleaner • More Efficient • Cheaper • Can be mass produced

  3. How is algae turned to fuel? • Expression- Oil squeezed out • Ultrasonic Method- creates bubbles, release oil • Solvents • Transesterification- Green Crude to usable substance

  4. Benefits to environment • 33:1 estimated energy ratio • Can naturally filter water • Can store and Filter CO2 • 40% more efficient than gas

  5. Algae compared to other natural fuel sources

  6. Cost of production • Cost per barrel around $800 • Cost per barrel of of crude oil around $90 • Must be mass produced • Parity projected 2017

  7. Green Powered Car • Requires Little to know modification • One gallon of biodiesel lasts longer • Cleaner emissions
