Research & Development • The Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) has been conducting research on hydrogen fuel cells for 28 years • Have made significant technological advances in: • Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) fuel cells • Direct Methanol Fuel Cells (DMFC) • The electrolyzer- a fuel cell in reverse, liberating hydrogen from electricity and pure water
