  3. Transport infrastructure • Lack of river crossings • Lack of rapid North-South links • Investment underway: DLR, tube upgrade, Crossrail • Need for River Crossings

Our Regeneration Objectives • Affordable housing in mixed tenure developments • New jobs and training • Health, community, education and recreation facilities • Sustainable transport network, with new links across the river • New physical and social infrastructure must go hand in hand with new housing supply • Design quality & sustainability

  5. Housing Investment • 17% of Thames Gateway supply target • 12,000 on Peninsula; • 5,000 in Woolwich; • 2,000 in Thamesmead; • 4,800 in Kidbrooke; • Drivas Jonas Crane survey – 3,555 under construction

  6. BIP Housing Numbers 2008 - 2015 • Grant allocated – 1461 affordable, 4239 Private • New schemes – 1875 affordable, 4588 Private
