2. Purpose Develop a common understanding of the target elements within Marzano’s Focused Teacher Evaluation Model. Identify and discuss grade appropriate instructional techniques and evidence of student learning that align with particular target elements within the Marzano model. Recognize and explore the characteristics of effective formative assessment practice and its role in teachers’ instruction and students’ learning.

Then summarize technique to other members. Indicate a way in which you can use this in your classroom with your content. • Be prepared to share with entire group.
