  10. Uses of Wood • E.g. • Teak– Commonly found in neighboring countries like Indonesia; termite resistant • Redwood– Used for bridal furniture (Peranakan) • Chengai Wood– Used for flooring

  11. One also needs to consider the effects of weather on wood so as to ensure that the wood is well protected against • When one preserves architectural timbre, one needs to consider its uses and its cultural uses, lest the culture essence of it is lost.
