2. Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs) • Annual PIP validation process is targeted for completion in March 2010 • MCOs will be given the opportunity to review HSAG’s completed PIP validation results and provide feedback and comments

3. Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs) Next Steps • Updated PIPs are submitted to AHCA/DOEA—June 2010 • MCOs complete HSAG’s “Letter of Intent” survey listing all active PIPs—August 2010

4. Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs) Collaborative PIPs—HMOs/PSNs • Topic: Well-Child Visits • Two separate tracks for Reform and Non-Reform plans. Non-Reform plans have collected and reported Baseline data for calendar year (CY) 2006. • Reform plans have collected and reported Baseline data for CY 2007

5. Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs) Collaborative PIPs—HMOs/PSNs • Both types of plans have a two-year intervention phase (CY 2007–2008 for Non-Reform and CY 2008–2009 for Reform) • All plans are participating in the collaborative intervention. The provider letter will be mailed during the first quarter of 2010.

6. Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs) Collaborative PIPs—PMHPs • Topic: Follow-up Within seven Days After an Acute Care Discharge for a Mental Health Diagnosis • PMHPs have submitted Baseline (CY 2007) and Remeasurement 1 (CY 2008) data for the 2009 PIP submission

7. Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs) Collaborative PIPs—NHDPs • Topic: Retention Rate • NHDPs began collecting Baseline data quarterly in 2009 and will prepare a 2009 calendar year roll-up rate

8. Performance Measures Reform and Non-Reform HMOs/PSNs • The validation of performance measures report is targeted to be finalized in January 2010 • The HEDIS 2009 strategic analysis report will be provided to AHCA as a draft in January 2010. The report is targeted to be finalized in March 2010.

9. Performance Measures Reform and Non-Reform HMOs/PSNs • HEDIS 2010 data (CY 2009) will be analyzed and reported on during the next contract year (2010–2011)

10. Performance Measures PMHPs • PMHPs will be collecting and reporting performance measure data for CY 2009. Data are due to AHCA in July 2010. • HSAG will conduct on-site performance measure validation (PMV) activities concurrently during the data collection and reporting cycle (June 2010)

11. Performance Measures NHDPs • NHDPs began collecting quarterly 2009 performance measure data • HSAG conducted on-site PMV activities in fall 2009 • Final 2009 PMV data are due to AHCA/ DOEA February 15, 2010 • Final reports are targeted for April 2010

12. Upcoming EQR Activities • Quarterly EQR meetings (via Webinar and on-site at AHCA offices in Tallahassee) • Other meetings (including collaborative PIP meetings and technical assistance sessions) will be scheduled in conjunction with the quarterly meetings
