  2. BACKGROUND • Commenced in September 2007 • An initiative after the Challenging Behaviour Consortium

  3. MEMBERSHIP • 16 Disability Sector Organisations • DSC – Service Purchasing, Learning and Development, Emergency Care, Positive Behaviour Team • NDS

  4. FREQUENCY • The group meets every six weeks on a Friday (9:30 – 11am) • Every second meeting is held at NDS so Country Organisations can video link in

  5. AIMS ·Develop quality services for people with disabilities who exhibit behaviours of concern ·Develop best practice in positive behaviour support ·Explore models of positive behaviour support ·Provide a forum for problem solving, networking & information exchange across the sector

  6. STRATEGIES USED ·Case study presentations by participating organisations (confidentiality is ensured) ·Resource sharing ·Presentation of different models of positive behaviour support used in Western Australia:  MTC, IABA, CPI, PART, Breakaway ·Guest speakers on projects within WA.
