  2. Biography • Carlos nació el 20 de julio 1947. He was born in Autlan de Navarro, Mexico. Santana had learned to play the guitar at age 8. He moved in 1955 from his hometown to Tijana, the border city. That is were he found passion in music.

  3. Biography(continue) • He then moved again in 1960. In 1966 he found the Santana Blues Band. This consisted of David Brown, Gregg Rolie, and himself. Firmó un contrato con Columbia Records. During the 70’s and 80’s his band released many successful albums. He has three children. He was married to a woman named Deborah, but he got divorced to her. Carlos was then engaged to Cindy Blackman in 2010, and got remarried that year

He does this through a family organization called Miagro Foundation which was created in 1998. Milagro has given more than $100,000 to groups in the first two months of 2009. For his musical talents and generous acts he was presented the Life time Achievement Award.

  5. Accomplishment #2 • Carlos Santana received a star on the Hollywood walk of Fame. He received the star on August 17, 1998. The star is located at 7080 Hollywood Blvd. It is the 700 block of Hollywood Blvd on the south side. Se encuentra entre Pearl Bailey y Cilnt Black.   6. Legacy • Even though Carlos is not dead he still a legacy in the making.
