  2. TOPICS • Gas Reference Materials in Mexico • Reference Materials in INFRA-Air Products • Industry Acreditation Status • Regulatory Organisms • MESURA poject INFRA-CENAM

  3. Gas Reference Materials in Mexico • In Mexico there´s exist Primary Standards related to the industry applications produced by CENAM. • This is because according to Regulations (LFMyN), only the primary Lab (CENAM) is the organism authorized to produce those Primary Standards in México.

  4. Gas Reference Materials in Mexico • Those standards are not good enough to supply the main Industry requirements • So, The main requirement is that gas producers be authorized to produce Gas Reference Materials

  5. Gas Reference Materials in Mexico • That would be based on ISO Guide 30, 31, 34 and ISO/IEC-17025 as it was discussed in last meeting with Regulatory Organisms

  6. Gas Reference Materials in Mexico • To date EMA CENAM and DGN are looking for an agreement to develope a policy regarding the production of Gas Reference Materials by Gas Producers

  8. Reference Materials in INFRA-Air Products • As a corporate strategy, INFRA as a part of Air Products and Chemicals Europe, we are developing an integartion plan for the Reference Standards Production in both blending and analitycal areas: Fix Sources Movile Sources Natural Gas

  9. Reference Materials in INFRA-Air Products • To Date, INFRA uses Gas Standards certified and validated by CENAM and DGN: Foreign Standard (NIST) INFRA Standard (CENAM)

  11. Industry Acreditation Status • Day by day, our customers are getting the acreditation from EMA (Entidad Mexicana de Acreditación). • They require to have Gas Reference Standards in order to calibrate and adjust their process or lab equipment

  12. Industry Acreditation Status • Products we deliver to our customers has to be adressed and approved in DGN (Dirección General de Normas) and CENAM (Centro Nacional de Metrología) • With the above approval, then the product can be considered as a Reference Material

  13. Regulatory Organisms • ORGANISMS - NIST(Instituto Nacional de Estandares y Tecnología) - DGN(Dirección General de Normas) - EMA (Entidad Mexicana de Acreditación - CENAM (Centro Nacional de Metrología)

  14. MESURA PROGRAM INFRA-CENAM • INFRA & CENAM are in a process to work in a program to produce Gas Reference Materials (MRTC). • This program considers production and analytical areas in order to have the whole control for the reference materials produced
