  3. Setting The Fledgling takes place in Concord a relatively normal town if you don’t count the wacky banker and his secretary. Well Georgie and her family just happened to live in Concord. They lived near the famous Walden Pond where Georgie has most of her adventures! She learns to fly at Walden Pond! There is also Georgie’s house where her cousins Eleanor and Eddy try to talk her out of her crazy idea of flying.

  4. summary Do you want to learn about a nasty banker, his crazy secretary, a goose, a girl named Georgie, and her family? Well you are reading the right book report. This story lives in Concord, where George a normal girl is wishing to fly. Her chance comes when she spots a flock of geese. An especially large goose is at the end of the flock. he was just coming down, and he looked like a prince. Then Georgie’s Father scared him off. Georgie was 10 years old at the time and had a wild imagination so no one believed her. The next morning Georgie woke up extra early and set off to Walden Pond where most of the geese lived. She shoved on her clothes and set off down Route2. On the road there were a few cars, but one of those cars just happened to be the car of Mr. Ralph Preek. Ralph Preek was the banker of Concord. Well, Georgie just happened to have spotted her Goose Prince he was descending down and was about to pick her up when old Ralph honked his horn. Mr. Preek drove Georgie home. Georgie was extremely disappointed because she wanted to fly with her Goose. Mr. Preek dropped her off and she went into her house. Georgie tried jumping off the stairs multiple times trying to fly. she failed multiple times. That night Georgie heard a slight tap tap tap on her window it was her Goose. When he came to her window it only seemed natural to climb on his back and that’s exactly what Georgie did. He flew her all around Concord Georgie was thrilled! No one wanted Georgie to fly not Uncle Freddy, or Eleanor and Eddy, and definitely not her interfering neighbors Mr.Preek and Ms. Prawn. They didn’t understand Georgie or her longing to fly, fly, fly.
