  1. OVID Databases Including IPA and Medline Spring 2006

  2. From the library’s homepage, click on ‘Articles and Databases’ Place holder for homepage

  3. Click on Databases by “Title”

  4. Click on “I”

  5. Click on “International Pharmaceutical Abstracts”

  6. Click on “Change Databases”

  7. Click the box beside the desired database – Part 1CINAHL and Current Contents/Science Edition

  8. Click the box beside the desired database – Part 2IPA and Medline and any others

  9. Type in first search term and click SEARCHNotice all databases are listed at the top.

  10. Results with only one term entered

  11. 2nd Term with truncation symbol which allows any form of the word to be searched

  12. Click Combine Searches to combine all terms

  13. Click on all terms to combine with “AND”, (Here there are only two.)

  14. Combined Results - Click Remove Duplicates

  15. There is no need to type anything in the Search box when you mark the limits

  16. At Row # 9, Click on Display

  17. Results are listed by individual Databases You may choose to look in any Database

  18. IPA is chosen and the results are displayed

  19. Read the Abstract Then mark any article you wish to keep

  20. Click on Results Manager

  21. Click any Field to display your resultsThen Print – Email – Save

  22. Always Remember to LOG OFF
