  1. Let’s do some Career Exploration!

  2. What do you want to do for a career? • It is never too early to start thinking about what you would like to do for a career. • How many of you think you know exactly what you would like to do for a career? • If you don’t, that’s okay!

  3. Today we are going to do some activities to help find out what careers might be a good match for you based on your interests and skills! • We will do a self-evaluation test to find careers that might be best for you • Then you will choose 3 jobs to research

  4. Questions to Answer 1. What are your Career Cluster/Occupational Code recommendations? 2. What are some of the jobs listed as possible matches for you? 3. Do any of these jobs interest you? If so, which one? If not, what would you rather do?

  6. 1. What jobs did you choose? 2. What are the work conditions or workplace? 3. How much does a person earn each year doing this job? 4. What education do you need to get this job? 5. What are some related jobs to the one you chose (see related careers tab)? 6. Why did you choose this job? What do you like best about it?

  7. Wrapping Up • How many of you felt that self evaluations found good career matches for you? • How many of you found jobs that you didn’t think of before? • Were any of the related careers interesting to you?
