Successful Tryouts Things To Do: • Be Prepared: • What, Who, Where, When & How • State Expectations and stick with them – DO NOT CHANGE THE SELECTION PROTOCOL • Be Prepared – Look like a Coach/Assessor (Balls, Pinnies, Eval Sheets/Clipboard etc.) • Use Independent Assesors
Successful Tryouts Club Policies • Turf to be used for Games/SSGs/Tactics etc. Not to be used for fitness & technical work • VPs/CHC Must be involved in selection of Final 4 Players • One Full Field before Final Selections
Club Policy – Playing Up • Playing-Up • LTPD (U9s & U10s) • One year younger only • Must be in top 10 players • May be asked to stay in same age group following year • Full Field • Must be in the starting 11 • May be 2 years younger (Must be exceptional) • All Players Playing Up Players to be assessed by Coach and Staff Coach/CHC
