30. ND Research Policy It is the policy of ND to carry out research to support the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Programme (NNPP). Research is performed to support the validation of courses taught by the Department by external, higher degree awarding, authorities. It is the policy that all academic staff are encouraged to carry out research in both mainstream and peripheral areas of the NNPP.

- - Systems and operational training, including simulator training and Steam Training being delivered by the NSG under Lt Cdr Ian Harrop
