大会概况: Over 80 people attended, mostly pastors, missionaries and church leaders. English used for presentations, Chinese and Cantonese also used for group meetings. Meeting schedule: 7:30 am – 10:30 pm.
Major Events Morning devotional, singing and sharing Various workshops (divided into English, Pu Tong Hua and Cantonese- speaking groups) Teaching/meassages (Pastor Chou, Philip Leung, Tim Addington, Bill Hamel) Reports/sharing from missionaries (Pastor Moses Ti-China, Matt Kung- Xinjiang, Paul-Wuhan, a sister-Hong Kong, CA IM missionaries…) Oral presentations from several special churches (Panama, Brooklyn, Toronto Charis and Des Moines- brief history, present situation, experience and needs) Business meetings (Director’s report, financial report and election) Evening group sharing and prayer meetings - Saturday night meeting: relocated to Monterey Park Chinese Church: Supper and Worship
Missionaries: • - Retired Pastor Ti: returned to China 4 yrs ago, training house church • Coworkers; teaching in 3 house church seminaries; difficulties/pressures • Faced by house churches; three-self church’s some issues (theology defin.) • Pastor Kung (CA): reaching China’s own Muslims; training Uyghur coworkers • in Xinjiang; real teaching/business as covering. • Paul (EFCA-IM): mission in Wuhan; using coffee house business as a bridge. • Hsu Min Fu: Bejing, Shanghai…, migrant workers, rural areas.
