  1. Clint Morris Period 2B 12/16/08 Robot: A robot is a machine that is programmed to perform various tasks to the highest efficiency, and has at least one moveable part.

  2. 5 Tasks Performed by Robots • Car Production • Packaging • Make circuit boards • Clean up things (house) • Military Aid

  3. IED detonator The U.S. Marine Corps uses this robot to save lives by detonating buried improvised explosive devices on the battlefield.

  4. GM Assembly robots These are robots that are used in assembling cars, they basically just weld together cars for assembly.

  5. Mars Rover This robot is used by NASA to explore mars, it has human like features and can see and grab things and take samples of rock and other items on mars.

  6. Mars Rover The Mars Rover is one of the most advanced robots known to man. At about 200 million, this piece of machinery is launched into space and is able to land on Mars and collect many different data samples and then come back to earth. For a complete trip to Mars using the rover, it costs NASA 600 million dollars.
