  2. Characters Franny K. Stein-An elementary school student and mad scientist. She is considered weird by her mother and classmates because she likes bats and uses a snake for a jump ropes. She also creates a dolls that can bite off the heads of other dolls. Mrs. Stein-Franny’s mom. She wishes Franny would be more “normal” and cheerful like herself. She tries change the dungeon appearance of Franny’s room but Franny always puts it back. Miss. Shelly: Franny’s favorite teacher. She encourages Franny to accept herself as she is. Giant Monstrous Fiend: A monster created from students’ dumped lunches. He kidnaps Miss Shelly and climbs up the flagpole with her over his shoulder.
