Our Current Status • Continued cold weather has caused river ice to increase & strengthen on Mid-Atlantic rivers and streams. • No strong warm-up or significant rain event is forecast, therefore conditions remain unfavorable for the ice to break-up and move. • Regardless, please stay alert and stay in touch. Share river ice information with your local NWS office.

Recent River Ice Photos & News • Thank you to everyone who has shared your photos of the river ice with us through email, Twitter and Facebook. • We are sharing these photos, plus any news we gather, through our Facebook and Twitter accounts, everyday. Following MARFC on Facebook & Twitter is the best way to stay up to date on the river ice because, as you know, conditions can change rapidly. • If there are any particular locations you are interested in, please contact MARFC at patricia.wnek@noaa.gov and we will do our best to help you.
