Steps for Building a Notecard • Use only words and phrases—NO SENTENCES, otherwise you will read rather speak. • No need to write the quote—mark it in your book for sharing on the ELMO. • NOTE: Do not select a quote from the first page or first chapter unless you choose a second quote from later in the book. • You can shift the order of the “parts”. • Match your notecard up against the rubric. • What literary terms have you used?
