Cohesion The sticking together of particles of the same substance. Ex. Water sticking to water. Adhesion The sticking together of particles of a different substance. Ex. Water sticking to another substance.
Surface Tension A property of the surface of a liquid that allows it to resist an external force Ex. Water strider
Specific Heat The amount of heat that must be absorbed or lost for one gram of a substance to change its temperature by 1oC.
