  3. Introducing Madonna. • Madonna’s full name is Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone. • She loved acting in school productions. • She discovered her love for dancing when she was a teenager.

  4. Madonna graduated from high school early. She received a dance scholarship to the University of Michigan. In 1978, after two years at U of M, Madonna moved to an apartment in a poor neighborhood in New York.

  5. Madonna signed a record deal with Sire Records in October of 1982. • In 1985, she went on her first concert tour, which was a huge success. • Madonna has had 17 Top Ten hits in a row.
