  3. Early life • -Educated in public school that was ¼ mile from home • -Many of his siblings died • -Father made decent living as a glover • -Probably learned Latin, but was only “claim to education” • -Baptized April 25, possibly born April 23

  4. Marriage • -Married Nov. 27, 1582 • -A lot of speculation and rumor • -Anne Hathaway, Anne Wheatly • -Hathaway gave birth 6 months later • -She was 26, he was 18 • -Lots of misspellings and quick writing

  5. Family • -3 children • -Susanna, May 26, 1583 • -Twins, Hamnet and Judith, Feb. 2 1585 • -Hamnet died at age 11, unknown • -Susanna married, one daughter, died at age 66 • -Judith married, 3 children, outlived all 3 by 23+ years, died in 1662
