  1. How English Teaching Jobs Abroad Became A Reality If you love to teach, your world has just expanded. Seriously speaking, we always heard the engineers and scientists to work abroad. When did we last hear a teacher working abroad? 20 years ago, that would be a funny thought. Surely, with language barrier, cultural shock and completely different curriculum, teachers never ventured abroad. Then, of course, was the lack of job as no school even considered employing a foreign teacher. Except for highly renowned professors, who often went abroad as guest faculty, teachers were a highly localised community. However, things changed with globalisation and the internet. Globalisation made the world a global village and English became the language of communication. In fact, it also became the language of international trade, higher education, entertainment and even sports. So, those countries who traditionally used its own language suddenly needed to learn better English quickly. Thailand is one a great example of this.

  2. Then the internet brought everyone closer to everyone. The traditional gap between a potential candidate and an employer was bridged. Now a teacher can apply abroad and the employers can scan through foreign talents. Going by our example, teaching English in Thailand for a foreigner became so much possible. Thailand now attracts hundreds of potentials teachers every year who leave the native country behind for a rewarding career in Thailand. The country has simple requirements for the candidates, you should be a native speaker of English, you should have a bachelor degree and you should have a TEFL certificate, that's, it.
