  1. Systems and Transportation LaboratorySeT Université de Technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard France

  2. the SeT Laboratory A multidisciplinary research laboratory composed of 3 groups : • Multi-agent Systems and Applications • Ergonomics and Design of Systems • Modelling and Analysis of Discrete-event Systems 29 researchers (professors, associate professors, scientific researchers, postdoctorates and PhD students) http://www.utbm.fr/set/

  3. Major Scientific Areas • Modelling of discrete-event systems and transportation systems as autonomous entities capable to interact and cooperate. • Planning and control to tackle the optimisation of resource allocations and scheduling for a best Quality of Service. • Supervision of transportation systems in order to develop and test methodologies to detect and identify congestions and incidents in a transportation network.

  4. Multi-Agent Systems and Applications Group Main research fields : • Multi-Agent Systems Specification and Design • Biological-based heuristics for distributed problem solving • Simulation, Image analysis, Data-mining, Cartography/GIS • Application: Transportation, Mobile Network, Robotics, Virtual Reality, Cartography

  5. Ergonomics andDesign of Systems group Main research fields : • Human Environment Ergonomics design and analysis • Ergonomic user interfaces for collaborative design platform • Application: Virtual Mannequin (MANERCOS), Collaborative platform for Product Design (ACSP), …

  6. Discrete-Event SystemDesign and Analysis group Main research fields : • Scheduling of transportation resources • Supervision and simulation of transportation networks • Application: Supervising bus ticket distribution, …

  7. Who participate to SURE ? • UTBM-SeT : • Luc GWIAZDZINSKI (associated professor / SeT) • Olivier LAMOTTE (researcher / MAS) • Jaafar GABER (associate professor / MAS) • Yassine RUICHEK (associate professor / MAS) • Stéphane GALLAND (associate professor / MAS) • Time and Mobility Agency (TMA) : • Luc GWIAZDZINSKI (director) • Olivier KLEIN (project manager) • Jean-Baptiste POINAS (project member)

  8. Some applications • Urban transport simulation for planning and control • Logistic for urban garbage collection • Optimisation heuristics for the transport on demand • Knowledge based systems for transportation regulation tutorials • Dimensioning of radio cellular networks • TRASCOM-IST: Traveller Assistance for Combined Mobility in regional areas • Vision system to assist car-drivers • …
