Paramedical Programmes • We have worked out the Uniform Curriculum Design (UCD). • It will be placed before the Academic Council of the University. • It will be made operational only after we get the green signal from the AC. • However, we shall be sending the UCD prepared by us to all CCs.
Paramedical Programmes…contd • Thereafter, the Academic Committees of the Community Colleges will not have any role in Curriculum Design, but will have to ensure proper teaching-learning transaction as per our norms and guidelines. • We have already sent the UCD for Foundation Course in Basic Sciences. • Study Materials are to be provided by the CCs. They may start the exercise of preparing them.
Examination will be very likely held in the On-demand Mode. The CCs are requested to make themselves conversant about the process of OD Exam(winex.ignou.ac.in). • For the purpose of holding such examinations, we shall arrange for preparing the Question Banks. • The assessment for Practical, Project & Internship will be handled by the respective CCs as per the guidelines of their ECs. Engineering based Programmes • We contemplate using the word ‘Vocational’ before Cert/Dipl/Advance Dipl/ADP. • There are variation in duration of the progs, like Two Year Diploma, Three Year Diploma, 3+1 Year Diploma, etc. Prior to doing the programme and course coding in respect of such progs we need complete justification. • We had started a scheme of Vertical Mobility to Engg. Degree Programmes through VIEP. We received only one application and that was also incomplete. We have written back to the CC concerned.
As per the letter dated 03-02-2012 from Member Secretary, RCI 16 Professional Categories are under the domain of RCI should not be offered by any Community College

Admission cut-off dates • For Jan Cycle of admissions: 01 November to 31 January • For July Cycle of admissions: 01 Mayto31 July
Examination cut-off dates • For DecemberExaminations: 01 Februaryto 28/29 February • For JuneExaminations : 01 Augustto31 August
Within a month the results will be uploaded on website subject to all data found to be in order and the CCs validating the data by sending the hard copies of the Mark Sheets.
Mark Sheets and Certificates will be made available after two months.
