Patient list 26,000 patients Ethnically and socially diverse inner city population Spread between two practices with the majority at James Wigg Practice. There are 6,000 patients at our sister surgery - Queen’s Crescent (previously a single-handed practice) enables exposure to two very different types of practice To enable continuity of care, which we value, we have personal doctor lists and are divided into clinical teams
Multidisciplinary Team Large number of doctors and nurses with different areas of expertise but all with a commitment to training Extended Primary Care team with practice nurses, district nurses, health visitors, drug and alcohol workers, smoking cessation advisors, social workers, psychologists, visiting midwife, CAB etc. Also visiting paediatricians with joint GP/Paediatric clinics Weekly clinical MDT meetings with all the clinicians – and hot food!

Training Established training practice with a long-standing commitment to training across the board (medical students, FY2s, nurses, Physician Associates etc) You will have an experienced trainer Ready access to your trainer or other senior clinicians – open doors and everyone is happy to help Weekly one-to-one tutorials with your trainer Weekly shared tutorials with the Caversham Registrars Induction programme Supportive peer group with up to 4 GP registrars and 3FY2s in the practice
