2. A motorist who shot and killed a man near the Maryland-Pennsylvania border in an apparent fit of road rage was being sought Wednesday. Authorities believe the shooter might strike again. “The potential for additional incidents of similar nature is anticipated due to the violent nature of this incident,” said police. The victim, Timothy Davison, a 28-year-old, was driving home Saturday when he dialed 911 to report that another motorist was chasing him and driving aggressively. Moments later, Davison was shot dead. Investigators believe that the same motorist may have been behind another road-rage shooting eight hours earlier in the same area. Police said the shooter was driving a small truck similar to a Ford Ranger, and the vehicle would have panel damage from ramming Davison's vehicle. 3. In Other News In yet another breach of normal papal protocol, Pope Francis on Wednesday gave a pal a lift on the world's most exclusive vehicle: the Popemobile. According to Catholic News Service, the world's holiest new hitchhiker was the Rev. Fabian Baez, a priest from Francis' former Archdiocese of Buenos Aires, whom the pope spotted in the crowd at St. Peter's Square. As he helped the priest onto the Popemobile, Francis told Baez, "The picture will go around the world,” CNS reports. The beaming priest rode around St. Peter's Square and was given a special seat at the Pope's speech to the crowd. One year removed from an empty inductee class, the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the Baseball Writers' Association of America tabbed three to enter the hallowed grounds in Cooperstown, N.Y. on July 27. Former Atlanta Braves pitchers Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine as well as former Chicago White Sox slugger Frank Thomas received the required 75 percent of the vote or more.
