Reading Tips Read with drama and excitement! • Use different voices for different characters in the story! • Re-read favourite stories • Choose books and authors that your child enjoys and re-read his/her favourite stories as many times as they want • Read from different genres • Read all kinds of materials—stories, poems, information books, magazines and newspaper articles • Visit the library regularly • Make regular visits to the library and immerse your child in the world of books • Read daily • Set aside a special time each day for reading. Set up a reading area in your home and make it your child’s ‘reading place’!
